To start off, this was about 3 years ago, and at the beginning I appeared to be your regular, if effeminate, dude. OK, my wife says that I appeared to be a twink that just happened to date women. Whatever.

The group consisted of: The DM, Me, GG (gamer girl), BF (GG's boyfriend), and (for lack of a better name/not his name) Steven.

We were playing Mummies Mask in Pathfinder. We had made it through book 1, and were partially through book 2 when I came out as a transgender woman and a lesbian. This was, for whatever reason, a big shock to them. The first session I went to after coming out I had made sure to tell everyone beforehand what was going on with me. I asked them if they were still comfortable with me playing with them. The 3 other PC's agreed that they didn't have a problem, but they all held some rather fucked up views about LGBT people in general, but that's another story.

The DM himself, who I considered previously to be very fair and reasonable, if a bit of skeevy, did not answer me. I figured it wasn't a big deal for him either. Oh boy, was I wrong.

The first session was fairly standard, although he ended up getting up at the end and just walked out without saying anything else. Me and Steven just looked at each other.

Steven: It's probably nothing. He's a bit antisocial anyway. Let's get some food!

GG and BF left, after a lot shooting the shit and eating pizza.

The next time we were supposed to meet up we all showed up at Stevens as usual, and got ready. DM never showed up.

We spent several weeks trying to get ahold of him to no avail. I had a sneaking suspicion what it was, but kept it to myself. During this time things just got shittier and shittier with my group, and I started distancing myself from them anyway.

After about 4 months, I got a message from Steven, and he told me that he finally got in touch with our old DM, and his issue was that he wasn't comfortable with me being a woman. Never mind that GG was a woman, but that I was a woman and he just wasn't comfortable with that.

I was also told that DM would resume running the game as long as I wasn't there. They continued without me.

TLDR: I got kicked out for coming out.
