Help with getting mods working for skyrim

I have recently decided to get back into playing skyrim and decided to download some mods from Nexus Mods. I use the Nexus mod manager but when i go through the website and download the mod i says the link is bad and the doesnt download. I have tried updating the manager and i also tried using a different browser (tried chrome then i tried firefox) no difference. Can anyone help me get these mods working. thank you in advance.
