Hello! Just as the title states, I need some help in remembering some very obscure term I had once read about. Essentially, I used to play RuneScape (laugh if you would like) and was doing some research on something random while playing. I came across an article that talked about RuneScape being a game that is [mystery term], whereby a small selection of NPCs are supposed to represent a large population that the player never sees. For example, when you visit a town in the game, Varrock, there are about 25 human NPC characters that live there, but in reality, there should be hundreds, if not more characters there. But the few NPCs that are there represent a larger, unseen population. I’ve never been able to find the article again after tons of research and Googling. So if there is someone out there who knows the term I’m looking for, I’d be forever grateful! It’s been driving me nuts!
