Looking for a really good text based RPG. Even if it's not that's fine

Whether it be MUD's, Blocky graphics browser games or no animation but filled with adventure I'm just looking for a great text based game. Something with stats to build up and get stronger though, even a school where you do cool shit I don't have a preference to sequence or genre type I want to set myself to play on. If you have any suggestions let me know
