Fellow gamers: I am looking for some advice/direction.
I've been a TT gamer since my dad ran me through my first dungeon when I was in the 1st grade in 1980. My go-to games growing up were, of course, ADnD (unearthed arcana was my favorite source book), and my group in high school got DEEP into Rifts, Twilight 2000, and Cyberpunk 2020 with the occasional dip into Robotech, TFOS, and the 1984 Marvel Super Heroes set. I played regularly until my 20s and then life got in the way of gaming. Fast forward to when my sons were old enough to play, we went to a local gaming convention and the fire was relit! I spent 10 years and far too much money rebuilding my collection and playing a few times a year while my sons played at the convention. I have almost all the Cyberpunk 2020 books ever produced (it was always hands down my favorite system and world) and most of the Rifts books. Add in a bag of dice the size of a baby's head and hundreds and hundreds of minis, and I'm a typical gamer.
All that said, my sons are in college and me being AD military, I simply don't have the time or inclination to play anymore. I had my resurgence with my boys and I loved it, but they left and so did the desire to play. I want to purge it and clear up the space in my shelves. My sons don't want it either (I asked them first).
Here is where I need advice: what do I do with all of it? I know I could drop it off at a place like 2nd and Charles and get $6 in store credit, or try my hand at eBay and end up with $150 in shipping. What else could I do? I'm in CO and it seems like FB has groups or whatever but I don't know the most "fiscally efficient" way to unload but also try and recoup some of the cost of building the collection in the first place (otherwise I would donate it all).
Thanks all!
