I've got a character with a one time chance to learn almostanything he wants. What system he learns from doesn't matter, D&D, gurps etc. What matters are the actual knowledge skills, skills and abilities.
What things would you grace your own character with given the chance?
Basic rules: 1. Time manipulation isn't an option. Knowledge(Temporal consequences) is on the list.
- Can't be God related in terms of things the character can do, this character just became a God's cohort and is prevented from becoming a god. That god also happens to be a time god, which is where we're getting all of this time to learn things from.
3.Must be learnable. The multiverse has technology and magic and psionics from a lot of the major pop culture sources. He's got to be able to sit down and study it. There are a huge variety of people and books available to learn from for this character however, so chances are reasonably good your suggestion exists.
If you're going to suggest magical skills or abilities, be advised this character has no magical talent. He has massive psionic talent however. He knows Disable magical device and use magical device and magical stealth and has knowledge of magic, but cannot use any himself.
Often the more basic the better. I've got swim, read and write, climb, jump, use rope, banter, bluff and a few other things on the list already. But imagine trying to do a very complex thing that you're character should be able to do, then ask yourself how you're going to do it. I have knowledge of psionics. Does that mean I can create a mental prison or encrypt my thoughts? Yes, with a lot of effort, but Craft(mental prison) and Encrypt Thoughts as skills means I can definitely do it.
He's "Pure of Heart" and trying to stay that way. No strictly evil things. Now, he does use his Dark Templar heritage to manipulate Void energy which lends itself to horrible ways to die. His alignment is Honorable Warrior (read: Lawful Good) so when all cards are on the table and someone's gotta die, they're gonna die.
The list I already have is about 8 line paper pages long, but almost anything you can think of will help. Thanks!
