First things first, hello you there my dear reader! Hope you're having a good day.
By "group bonding mechanic" I meant a mechanic that encourages the players to interact with each other at a character level to get mechanical advantage. I'm mainly thinking at the playbook-related Team Moves for Masks, for example, where you have to literally share doubts or ideas with other characters just to initiate the move, but Bonds from Dungeon World would be a close second (and if framed well even Goals from BW) and I'd say most inputs from Fall of Magic would fall under the same ubrella.
I love the mechanical implication of such a concept, interrelating the narrative (the 'fluff') that drives many players with the advantages (the 'good stuff') that drives many other very different players.
So... what's your favorite Group Bonding mechanic? How do it works? Why?
