Haven't played since 3.5 and need to get caught up with 5th Edition Rules by Sunday, what's my best resource on a budget?

Hey /r/rpg!
Long time reader, first time poster!
I haven't played any tabletop rpg's in... somewhere in the realm of 5 years now. Played my last campaign of D&D3.5 in around 2009 with about a year or so of Mutants and Masterminds after that.

I'm more than excited to say I've reconnected with a group if old friends, and guess what, they're playing D&D 5th Ed. now and have invited me and my gf (it will be her first real campaign, but I've gone over several rpg's with her several times and she's tried a couple out in the past) to join their adventuring party!

Tabletops where a huge part of my life when they where in them and I'm really excited to get back into playing, I'll be looking to play a Sorcerer (as this is what I'm most familiar with and enjoying playing the most) but wanted to come to you guys to find out the best way to refresh/get caught up with any new rules before our first session this Sunday.

The last thing I would want to do is hold these guys back!

So glad to be one of you again, and look forward to actually posting here now that I'll be playing again on a regular basis!
Cheers and thanks in advance!
