We were playing when one of the characters got her body and mind switched with another person. She asked if a dog recognized her character on the different body and the DM replied in the best way:
Player: dog recognized me right, he can see me true self.
DM: What, no! He doesn't see your true self.. dude, our cats freak out when we wear different shoes and dogs go mostly off scent. Animals dont see our true self, they smell your butt.
