I was bored on the plane and not focussed enough to write at length on my new adventure. So I picked up the travel magazine from the airline, expecting nothing interesting. But I was totally wrong! It had plenty:
A guide to biking tours, visiting chateaus and making pilgrimages to holy relics. It provided a take on medieval economy and architecture. Another story featured stuff like cave houses in the desert and ancient/classical ruins. And many inspiring pictures. That fortified monastery in a forest? Yeah, pictures in the travel guide. Old stories and myths too, such as why someone's dead body became a relic.
