Running Not Creating?

I think that, after more than 20 years of GMing a wide variety of systems and genres, I’m figuring out that I really enjoy running games, the interactions and the improv and the adjudicating, more than I enjoy writing lore and campaigns i.e. creating games.
This may be a newer thing for me, or maybe I just always assumed that GMing WAS writing material for games.
Any other GMs have this experience? How do y’all determine what the content of your games is gonna be?
