Recovered stolen door magnet

Post Body

Currently on Voyager of the Seas. So I put a Texas flag souvenir magnet on our stateroom door upon arrival and an Austin souvenir magnet on the kidsā€™ stateroom door just across the hall from us upon our embarkation yesterday. I read that putting magnets on the stateroom door is a popular way to identify your room in the labyrinth of hallways of rooms that look identical.

Someone stole the Texas flag magnet off my door last night so I filed a security report, knowing thereā€™s a hallway security camera very near our room. Then I went on reddit and read that assholes stealing magnets from other passengersā€™ doors is pretty common scumbaggery that happens on cruise ships.

I just got a call from security about half an hour ago. They retrieved my magnet. I asked what happened to it and was told another passenger did in fact take it and security had a ā€œguest conduct conversationā€ with them and they surrendered the magnet. Thank you Voyager of the Seas security for doing a good job for such a minor incident. Well done.

Small trivial $6 magnet, but fuck whoever took it. Itā€™s not the money. Itā€™s the feeling of being violated and disrespected. I didnā€™t come on this cruise to be victimized by another passenger. If it was you, feel free to DM me and explain why you took something that doesnā€™t belong to you, along with an apology. Or better yet letā€™s meet on the ship so you can apologize to me in person. šŸ–•šŸ¼
