Brief rundown: Arrived in Fort Lauderdale the day before. Hung out at hotel, it was rainy and stormy most of the day. Cleared up in time for dinner on Los Olas Blvd.
I Booked the cruise rather last minute, about a month prior to departure. Extended Balcony Room was cheaper then regular Balcony room, and tbh I could not tell much of a difference between the two, and in the future would not pay extra for the bigger balcony room. The deluxe drink package was 70/day. Internet for 1 device was 17/day, but The Key which includes internet was 25/day. I figured what the heck, lets spend more money and see what happens, as I have never had the Key. My thoughts about that: The chops lunch on departure day was very good and a heck of a lot better then fighting the masses in the windjammer. Also w/ the key you can carry your luggage on and they will deliver it to your stateroom. My Key checked luggage was in my room before the room was available. My pier checked bag was not delivered to my room until about 5-6pm after we were under weigh. State rooms were available at 3pm.
I did not do a specialty restaurant this trip, and had dinner in the MDR each night at 8pm. Food was top notch and I had zero complaints. Did MDR for breakfast most days. Breakfast menu was the same the entire time. Lunch mostly did buffet, not my favorite place, but the food was good, with a good variety of nationalities of cuisine to choose from.
Cozumel I did the ATV jungle excursion with beach break. That was fun, I enjoyed it. The beach was ok, not great not horrible.
CocoCay, spent half the day on the beach and the other half on the ship. Lunch at CocoCay was crowded and not the best, the food was ok, but it was just ehhhh.
Overall the only thing that really bothered me, and its trivial in the grand scheme of things: The staterooms, and not just mine because I could see when walking down the hall, curtain over the glass door to the balcony only go half way down to about the level of the bed. So the sunlight in the morning coming from the bottom half was annoying af when nursing the result of the drink package. I do miss evening turn down service but survived with out it.
