I live in michigan most of the time, and have seen the legal market change pretty drastically here over the last few years. Prices have plummeted, and it looks like it’s starting to pour into the rosin market as well (what used to be 60-70$/g is now more like 40-50$). Obviously this depends on the dispensary, hut generally MSRPs have lowered as well, now to a point below what the california rec market sees. When i think about factors influencing price i mainly think supply & demand, but it’s hard for me to believe there’s higher supply in michigan than california. do you think it just has to do with more hype around cali brands like trilogy, fidels, kalya, etc? Or something? is there just a general consensus that california rosin is better than michigan rosin, and thus priced higher? Edit: By no means is this meant to be a flex, but just to provide comparison. The lowest i’ve seen rosin selling in michigan rec dispensaries for was 7g/$80 or $11.42/g plus 6% michigan sales tax and 10% excise tax, making the final cost $13.26/g out the door. What’s the lowest you’ve seen in a legal shop? Is it safe to say this is pretty cheep for rosin on a national scale(excluding the fact that we have a relatively low rec tax)?
Pretty sure like 70% of weed prices are taxes by now on average.
