Maybe a dumb question I can google, but Reddit always informs me better.
Same wash but diff strains. Purple Drank on left and Zkittlez on right. TIA!
- Press temp
- Air bubbles
- Cannabinoid profile (certain naturally occurring minor cannabinoids such as CBC are industrially used to dilute solvent-based extracts into vape oil because it's effective with a known safety profile and no regulatory hurdles)
- Amount of intact THC-A vs THC
- Terpene profile (again certain terpenes are solvents which is incidentally also how the hash curing process works -- The material undergoes an autodigestion process as the terpenes gradually break down & dilute other parts of the material)
Basically. Lots and lots of things. Nature is the universe's most complex, awe-inspiring machine and we're learning new things about it daily.
Cannabis is no exception -- That's why experimentation is so important.
(And why we really need to normalize keeping lab notes/grow journals especially on the higher ends such as the making of full & half melt extracts).
