I was thinking if it could be fun to play cats and VB1 vs birds(or other high reach, maybe not mice) and VB2 with a predetermined coalition. Has anyone tried this out? What was the overall experience and how even did it turn out?
It sounds like a fun idea but Root is all about tabletalk and convincing other people that someone else is much stronger and they should be targeted.
The issue is that I think a lot of the factions are designed with this idea in mind, that the players will balance them out by being a lot more aggressive towards certain factions, so like another commenter here said, it really just came down to which faction is objectively stronger alone, which in the case of Eyrie and Marquise the Eyrie are a lot faster and stronger than the Marquise, at least in my opinion.
