do I have a right to be annoyed at my roommate?
Post Body

ok this is pretty tame as far as roommate stories go but i just wanted your guys’ thoughts.

my roommate never leaves the house. In fact, I can probably count the times she leaves our ROOM using on one hand. She pays rent and everything and helps pitch in for apartment stuff, but she just never. freakin. leaves. I understand that we’re still in covid times, but she’s not anal about that stuff. When covid first started, she moved back home to the midwest, but starting this school year, she moved back to california. She has some internship that involves spreadsheets and number crunching and a giant computer monitor and she literally just does that and school. I guess what really gets me is that she moved ALL THE WAY from the midwest to california just to sit on her ass in the apartment and never leave. she has friends so occasionally she’ll visit them, but that’s like once in a blue moon. It’s getting really nice outside, and every day i come home from work or spending the night at my gf’s (I’m barely home because I like not sitting on my ass all day), and lo and behold, still there!!!!

Again, she has a right to be here, but as an introvert, i like to recharge in my own space, and I don’t really have “my own space” to just chill because she’s always in the room. and then when I go to use our kitchen, which is very small, she always comes in when i’m using it. Like, you have ALL DAY when I’m not there to use it, and you choose to use it when I’m there. Anyway, does that sound annoying to you guys or am I just being hypersensitive? She talks with her family and our other housemates all the time so I’m not worried it’s a depression thing.
