My roommate left without notice last Tuesday, she isn’t responding to phone calls or texts. She doesn’t work (she’s retired) so I have no idea where she went or where she is. A little backstory, I went out of town Memorial Day weekend. When I came back it was freezing in the house. I didn’t think much of it at first, but the next day (Tuesday) I paid attention and noticed that the air was running nonstop and I was freezing. So when I went on break, I work from home, I went downstairs to check the thermostat. It was set on 62 in the on status. So I told her we can’t have it on 62 and on and I turned it up to 67 and put it back on auto. When I can down for my second break later that afternoon, the front door was cracked, I thought maybe she had forgotten to shut it when she walked her dog, so I hollered at her that it wasn’t shut. Nothing, so I went looking for her and couldn’t find her. So I pulled up the camera footage of the front walkway and saw that she had left. No mind you, she hasn’t left the house once since she moved in three weeks ago. She doesn’t drive. She hasn’t paid June rent. I’m worried about her. How long do I wait before I put her stuff out in the curb?
