My roomba vacuum (i3, purchased Nov 2020) has suddenly started to take way longer to finish vacuuming my house. I expect some wear and tear on the battery life, but I wasn't expecting it to be this soon. I'm not able to see the history on times way back when it was brand new as I had to factory reset my robot once when it stopped working.
But going back to March 4th.... total cleaning time was 3 hrs 2 mins
March 7th: 3 hrs 18 mins
March 11/12/14/18/19/20/23: avg of 3 hrs
April 20th: 4 hrs 20 mins
April 21st: 4 hrs 17 mins
These cleanings were all the exact same area covered btw.
Something clearly changed from March into Arpil but I have no idea what it could be. I have the i3 model and had never had issues with it until I did the app update where we got the smart maps feature added. I feel like that broke my machine, all of a sudden it stopped connecting which is when I had to call CS and they had me factory reset it.
I'm wondering if it's time for a new battery?
My robot's lifetime stats are:
No of jobs: 229
Total job time: 317 hr 33 min
Dirt event count: 111 events
Update: I figured out the issue. I was not letting my robot charge enough when returning to the base for a recharge during the middle of a cleaning. I was thinking that letting it recharge halfway through was enough for it to complete cleaning. Lesson learned: dont mess with your roomba until itβs completely done cleaning!!
