Is there truly ANY benefit to having hard shell vs soft shell tent? I cannot imagine paying an extra $2k just for a plastic cover.

I would have recommended roofnest but I am not an iKamper advocate after owning the Condor XL for 18 months and warranty.
Spend the money, get the ikamper. Also, anything that would damage the abs shell would also destroy an aluminum sheel too. 🤷
I'm just anti roofnest after making a positive review on YouTube from 14 months out. Gonna publish an update.
