RTT in the wet PNW
Post Body

I've decided to get a Tacoma and use it for overland camping and the idea of a RTT is very appealing but I have some concerns I'd like to ask the more experienced users on here for their advice/opinions.

First I live in the PNW so its wet and rainy more often than not. A hard shell RTT seems better for wet environments but they are outside my budget. I was looking at the cheaper soft ones but I am concerned about it being wet and I'm not really able to store it due to concern #2.

Second I live in a small apartment so I would have to leave the RTT on the truck 24/7 out in the weather as I don't even have any parking with an overhang so again I'm concerned with it being out in the PNW winters and wetness when not used. I do plan on using it year round so it would see use during the winter but maybe not for a month or so at the longest. Is getting a RTT in my situation just not a good idea?
