I really need to see translations of at least all of the 16-bit era JRPGs in my short lifetime. I think this could be possible if more of us offer a hand in any way possible.
I can't speak or read Japanese, but I'm willing to help with any kind of mundane task that might be helpful to get the jobs done. I have no idea of what that might be, but if anyone heading any of these projects (Aeon Genesis, etc) gave me a quick rundown on some type of file management task, I would absolutely be willing to help.
Or maybe fund raising would be another route, although I think this has been pursued before with some occasional problems, Idk.
Either way, I wanted to reach out to you all and try to start a dialogue about this. My main issue is this: Is there any way for those of us that don't speak Japanese, with very (VERY) basic minimal understanding of coding, to help out at all? Because I want to do that. I'm very passionate about these things and my appreciation for the people that have already done so much on these projects is quite vast.
For those of you that are educated on the matter, or perhaps actually involved with certain translation projects, please reach out to the rest of us and divide some of the workload in a way that is feasible for those of us that are not educated or experienced in these things.
I understand if that might seem like it would be more work for you to explain than actually do, but if there are any tasks that require hours upon hours of time, yet might only take an hour to explain, that's the kind of thing I'm getting at.
What do you all think about this?
