Watched these two Audrey Hepburn classics tonight. I can’t get over how they paired her up with these men that were 30 years older then herðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Like they were both literally born in the 1800sðŸ˜.
I thought the plot of Sabrina was actually really good and it was funny and tonally it was really enjoyable but yeah I just wish the chemistry between the characters was better (anyone know if the 1995 version does this better lol).
As for funny face I just couldn’t enjoy this. I usually really enjoy musicals but this was just so boring. Like they tried to convince me that Audrey Hepburn wasn’t this gorgeous woman, it wasn’t believable. The characters were just boring too and I didn’t find it memorable.
Thank you Cary grant for not doing Roman holiday (even though he could probably pull it off) because that age gap could have been potentially too jarring and Gregory’s chemistry with her was amazing, and then thank you to the casting directors of breakfast at Tiffany’s because that chemistry worked. I’m not usually a stickler for age gaps but the 30 year age gap was much to jarring especially cause it was very noticeable on these men and it just took me out.
