Having watched many coasters and gotten roughly familiar with the physics behind them, I’ve gotten curious: is there a certain formula for how large an element should be relative to the size and speed of a train that will traverse it, so that the element is neither traversed too quickly or too slowly? Or is this question largely pointless in the day and age of CAD-designed coasters?

Edit: “rough” was misplaced; changed to “roughly”
