I got some new wheels a month ago cause my current ones were getting to that point. But for some reason I keep avoiding it. Every time I think about putting on the new wheels I think about how my left abductor is tight no matter how much stretching I do, my gazelles and power stops on my left are very weak, I'll probably skate at the same places cause I haven't found any new spots, and despite how fun it is to skate backwards my backwards crossovers feel goofy. I feel like I'd be wasting the new wheels by putting them in my frames.
The last real fun skate session I had was when a short skate session turned into a 14 mile skate across the bridge and to the beach at night, bobbing and weaving through traffic and tourists and spooking everyone in a grocery store.
I'm not gonna stop skating. But it's weird. I'm usually real excited to put in new wheels. I even debated getting a 4x110 frame since I have some 110 wheels lying around (I have endless 100 so I have 6 barely used 110m wheels lying around. Wasn't hard to find two more) but I'm wondering if I'd have that block if the frames came in.
My bad if this wasn't directly related to skating techniques or products or a fun post, but it's been bugging me for a minute and I wondered if anyone else has felt the same way.
Edit: put on the wheels and they feel great. Turns out the rocker on my old wheels were so bad (due to lack of rotation). I hit up a basketball court and it was great.
