My experience with AD in New York.

Post Body

Was visiting NY for work. Decided to stop by few ADs. All three started with the same old tale, nothing for sale, only exhibition pieces, I can try them, probably be on the waiting list, pick it up within 24 hours… blah blah blah

Hold behold, I was talking with an ambassador for a while, then out of no where he asks me what watches are on my list. I share with him my choices, then he tells me he might have something for me. He goes in the back room, comes out with a submariner and a sea dweller. Mind you, 15 minutes ago they didn’t have anything to sale.

I don’t know if they thought I wasn’t wasting their time, or their inventory just got restocked within the fifteen minutes I was there. I refuse both options, then he tells me he might have be able to give me a piece that they have kept aside for a regular who is going to pick it up later. I obviously want to look and he goes in the back room, comes out with this beauty.

As you guys guessed I picked it up. No purchase history, no waiting, no nothing. Nothing for sale 15 minutes earlier. I do not have a clue what and how these ADs are operating, but this was my experience last week.
