Hey! Hopefully this is a good place to post this, let me know if it isn’t.
I really enjoy watches, I definitely have my fair share. But I’ve honestly been avoiding Rolex because I’ve heard too much crap about how the AD’s push away new customers. I also have small, borderline minuscule wrists, and the longer lug to lug of Rolex’s have made me skeptical of spending the money on a watch that might not fit. A couple weeks ago however, a customer of mine and I started talking about watches and he showed me his 34mm oyster perpetual, and to my surprise the 34 actually fit (the 36 doesn’t because of the outset end links). So now I’m thinking about getting a 34mm Oyster. I don’t want a platinum or white gold watch, and I don’t need a more popular model just because of its name. I just want a good watch to wear while at work, and I know Rolex was founded on watches meant for work/sport. What are the odds of me walking into an AD and actually getting what I want at msrp and in a timely manner. I refuse to support the grey market because it is what caused this hyper inflation and supply problem to begin with. I also don’t want to pay 2k extra because it’s on the grey market. Will the AD just turn me away because I’m Joe Shmo off the street?
