I am looking to use a World War I character I created, his name is Wolfgang and I will put a more detailed description at the end. Do note, that though I try to be as Historically accurate as possible, I am not a Historian and might take artistic liberties.

I am not a massive fan of writing actual full on battles, but am okay with some conflicts/gore/battle snippets. I would prefer to focus more on the aftermath of the war, our characters finding each other again, recovering from what they’ve seen and done, how it affects them, and how they work it out together. I do also love writing cute/fluffy romantic scenes. I’m also fine if you have any ideas yourself for anything post war.

The basic plot I was thinking would be Y/C is a soldier in the Great War on the opposite side of the war that Wolfgang, a medic, finds injured and helps. In particular I was thinking of starting at 1918 at the 2nd battle of the Somme, my character would be 20 by that time. We can flesh out the rest of the plot.

I am in the EST time zone, I am free most evenings and I would try my best to give a response a day if possible. I am a semi-literate writer and can write a fair amount, usually atleast a paragraph or two, although. I can go past the text limit of discord. That’s not often though, it depends on what’s going on. My usual response is between 2-4 paragraphs. I prefer discord for I tend to rp on my phone and it allows me to edit grammar mistakes after posting.

Here is Wolfgang's character info:

Wolfgang Heißler was born and raised in the city of Hannover in the Kingdom of Prussia. He is the youngest out of 3 sons of a local book store owner. He became a Pharmacist's apprentice at the age of 13. When the rumors of war started brewing after the death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, his older brothers were the first to be conscripted and sent out. Wolgang became 16 a week before the start of the war, making him too young to be conscripted in 1914. Wanting to help, he immediately signed up with the National Red Cross, becoming an orderly and paramedic. As a Conscientious Objector (not that the German military cared much) with experience in pharmacy and as a paramedic/orderly at the Red Cross, when drafted at 17 he was able to negotiate and join the Army Medical Corps in a non combative role working alongside a Sanitätshunde/mercy dog, a job he excelled at for he loved dogs.

Wolfgang is quiet and reserved. Being the youngest and most quiet of his siblings meant that his older brothers tended to bully and tease him when growing up. This caused Wolgang to prefer to be on his own with his books. When not in school or working, you could find him hiding in small spaces, high places, or in the woods with his books alongside the family dog.

Though not as athletic as his brothers, he is the tallest coming in at 5ft 11 inch or 180cm. He has a bit of a bulky build and broad shoulders due to spending some of his leisure time swimming in the Leine river and all the heavy lifting he did as an apprentice and now medic. The family business kept them well fed, but the stress of the combat fields has made him lose a few kilos of weight.

Wolfgang has short dark blond hair that is usually combed back and grey eyes with a rim of brown around his pupils. His skin has a bit of a peach color to it, especially areas that have seen the sun more than others. You would notice the slight tan lines if he removed his shirt.
