The war between the tribes of beastkin and the kingdoms of man is one filled with ancient codes and debts unfulfilled. The uncivilized tribes force themselves onto the kingdoms with help from their indebted neighbors. Civilized tribes with ancient debts. Decade old treaties and contracts dictate loyalty. The war is a bloodbath for all parties, yet one kingdom helplessly intertwined with a tribe is forced to try to make amends. An arranged marriage, or maybe just peace talks. A princess, next in line for the lead of the tribe and the king of this kingdom. Or a woman born and raised by the tribe becomes a guard, to swear her oath and loyalty to the kingdom. Potentially the guard catches the eye of a man who enjoys exotics, or a captain of sorts above her notices her. The princess married to the king, or naturally meeting him, eventually the two become close enough to truly believe they deserve marriage together.

One small political advancement in the war renders these two specific factions connected by a brand new contract and treaty, giving them a chance to intertwine cultures and spread their words to surrounding tribes. What if this event sparks the end of the war; or what if this causes predictable violence?
