She was the only daughter of a single mother named Ashlyn who was 21 at the time of Rosalie's birth. Ashlyn knew from the very start her daughter was different then most children. She was very quiet, even as a baby but as she grew older it became more noticeable. She didn't play like other kids, she constantly spun around until she got dizzy and would just giggle, she couldn't seem to sit still and in school her teachers didn't understand that so to fidget some way Rosalie developed a habit of picking at the skin around her nails and the skin on her arm to the point it bleed and scabs formed. Ashlyn wasn't sure exactly what was going on with Rosalie, it wasn't until a babysitter mentioned that Rosalie might be on the spectrum of autism. She had most of the markers, she hated eye contact, she didn't like being touched unless she initiated it, she'd also respond but hardly ever actively sought out social interactions. She also struggled with social cues, she also talked a lot about stickers to the point it might be an obsession she also would completely take every sticker page she had out of her binder then place them back in saying she was reorganizing them even if they ended up in very similar spots. She also struggled with time and she had a very low attention span for anything but her hyper fixations. She'd also have too many choices to the point she wouldn't do anything or even eat if she had to pick from different options. Overall Ashlyn had noticed these too but she didn't think much of it but once she heard the babysitter explain that these were major signs that her baby needed help. Over time they figured out routines were best for Rosalie. She struggled severely whenever things went astray.
