Long ago Humanity had stretched across the galaxy. They conquered planets, subjugated whole species, and created technology that was both more advanced than any. After thousands of years of control, their client races rose up, and the whole galaxy burned as Humanity fought to keep its place among the stars. Eventually, humanity had been beaten back, When they tried to sue for peace all they received in return was fire. Millenia of brutal subjugation had made the rebel races want one thing, and one thing only: Human Extermination.

And in the end it was almost achieved. They had pushed humanity to the brink of extinction, cornering them on the planet Earth. They had destroyed the last of the human fleet and bombarded the whole planet, so much so that it had split the mega continent that was present.

Humanity had well and truly lost. Over time, they forgot their grand origin as they did what they always did, adapted. Now we come to modern times. Earth had served humanity well these past 25 thousand years, but she was running thin. Volcanos erupted, mineral deposits ran dry and freak weather batter human cities. When the public found out it was chaos. Wars, Civil Wars, Nuclear exchanges. Meanwhile an organization only called The Initiative banded many of the world's factions together with the goal of escaping the planet. After trillions were poured into the project the Ark Ships were born. Filled with the best and brightest of a generation and sent off as the world crumbled. When they reached their destination, they would begin to settle. Unaware of a whole galaxies eyes upon them and the grand revelations that awaited them
