Hi r/roguelikes, I've been trying to track down some info on Sil, but I'm having a little trouble finding what I need.
I have a few items marked {special} but I have no idea how to identify them other than just wearing/using them until something triggers their power. Is there a way to do this short of the loremaster skill? Similarly I have a staff which I can (a)ctivate, I assume like wands in other games, but it seems to do nothing. Can this be identified somehow?
It's my first time playing an Angband variant, so if the solutions are well-known I apologise for my ignorance.
