This might be more of a design question instead of strictly a development topic, but I'm curious as to how many of you:
Have created a help system/game manual for the roguelike you're developing?
Read through the manual/help system of roguelikes when you play them?
The spirit of roguelikes can be exploiting small advantages; is the manual a good place to hint at these? It's a topic not often discussed so I'm not familiar with it, but how detailed/spoilery are roguelike manuals? How do you approach help/manual writing?
