Does anyone else notice how weird the mixing/mastering is on the entire Ghetto Gospel album?

GG is my favorite album for sure, but I can never really bang out with it because the mixing is just bad. I’m not sure if it was mixed by professionals or someone just starting out or whatever…

Listen to the entire album, at a pretty significantly high volume and you’ll notice, most of the songs won’t bang as hard as they normally would at a lower volume.

At first I thought it was my stereo system I have at home, which is already expensive as it is. It doesn’t normally do this to any other album I listen to except a few. And I listen to a lot of different music, and my speakers are blasting most of every day… but recently I got a couple subs and new speakers installed into my vehicle. Threw on GG and the same thing happens.

Once you turn up the volume past like 1/4 way, the treble just completely overtakes the bass and the volume decreases a bit by itself almost as if it’s too much for the speakers to handle. But like I said, this is one of the very few albums out of everything I listen to that does that. And neither one of my speakers were cheap whatsoever by any means. I listen to alot of music so I goto great depths to ensure I’m listening on the best possible pair within reason.

I’m hoping maybe for a re-release down the road, a remastered version. I’m sure I can’t be the only one that notices this?
