R* account between Epic and Steam

Hello There. I got GTA V on Epic Games when it was free which is linked to my R* account. I completed all the treasure hunts in GTA Online which gives some extra rewards in RDR2 which i dont have but gonna buy this month. If I buy the game on Steam, can i link it to my R* account or does it create a new account and Do i still get to claim the rewards as it has benn like 6 months since i did that
