SOLUTION: I disabled my antivirus and firewall in Windows and I was able to get in the first try. The captcha was still a bit buggy, but once I verified I was able to finally sign in. Credit to /u/anMushi
I just bought GTA V, I've been trying to login to the damn Rockstar Games Launcher for the past few hours now, so many times that I've been getting the "Your computer or network may be sending automatic queries" warning and being unable to try again for about 10-20 minutes.
I've tried uninstalling the games launcher and social club, I've made sure I can sign in to the social club on rockstar's own website. But every time, I'm able to get through some captchas, most of the time failing, even though I know I'm not doing anything wrong, and then eventually I get it right. I get the green checkmark in the "I'm not a robot" box, and click sign in. After clicking sign in, the checkmark clears and I get a red warning saying Missing or Invalid CAPTCHA.
I'm so beyond frustrated, I just want to play the damn game, why is this so difficult? Literally the worst sign in process I've ever been through.
The game was purchased through Steam.
Specs:
Windows 10
Intel i7-9700
NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super
32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4
UPDATE: 12 hours later and still nothing, I’ve reinstalled the games launcher, deleted my hosts file, still getting the error. See video.
