Rocksmith+ / 2014 Endgame

With the new release of RS2014 I'm starting to face the inevitable that the days are numbered for that especially for CLDC / RS_ASIO usage. I'm reflecting, after 1,500 hours, if moving on from RS will have a positive or negative affect on my playing - on one hand its been great for learning and playing along to songs, but on the other I find it difficult to memorize and play without it as a crutch (getting older doesn't help with the memory either). What is you plan when that fateful day comes?
