When you're bending you need to let the initial note ring out for a split second before raising the pitch!
you need to have a split second where the notes are individually recognizable, try sliding from C to D, then make the bend sound like that transition)
You CANNOT instantly bend (unless it's a pre-bend) or RS will not recognize it! Jeez, this took me forever to figure out, but boy that's ALOT of headache gone. Sorry if this has been posted before, but I'm freaking out because I finally figured out how to make EVERY bend get picked up.
Further explanation:
Basically this is what you do. Let's say the bend is a C to a D, a full step. (C --> C# --> D) (frets 8,9,10 on e string)
Play the first note, fret 8, in this case and VERY SLOWLY do a slide to the next note, C#, and then VERY SLOWLY slide to the last fret.
You hear how the transition of notes? How each is individually recognizable? Go back to the first note, and now bend it so it sounds the EXACT same as when you slowly slid the notes. You don't need to do it super slowly, you can do it as fast as you want the only thing that matters is that the first note is indivbidually recognizable from the rest of the bend
