Getting the cloudy orange dirt out of my quartz crystal has been an ongoing task that never felt finished. Always stuck in the base of the staligmite or in the druzy parts of the crystal formation. I had bought and tried ALL of the stuff the blogs recommended. Until one day I was thrifting and found this 3/4 full of a jug at the habitat for humanity ReStore in my area. If you're not familiar, it's like a Goodwill for building supplies. Figuring having already tried iron out and CLR, Zep, baking soda, lemon juice, hot water, and dawn to try to get the oxidation out a quick crystal dip bath wouldnt hurt. And damn was I blown away. I literally didn't even have to rub, brush, or spray, I dipped it in left it overnight and it came out looking like this!! You can even see the before and after dip line... Has anybody ever heard of this chemical or had any experience using it on stone? By far the most effective thing I've ever used at cleaning oxidation without eating away at it like an oxalic/ muriatic acid can? Though I did get a pretty itchy chemical burn that led me to a baking soda bath. Lol but well worth it ithe next day.
