It has been a couple weeks since I made any posts, my apologies. I have been busy over the last few weeks. From working on my linear algebra, to visiting the National Air and Space Museum on the 50 anniversary of landing on the moon, to ordering and starting to work with a Arduino starter kit. While working on my linear algebra course I have covered simple linear transformations and matrices. It was with the former topic that caused a temporary detour down the path of codes and encryption. That made a fun afternoon. I then moved on to an introduction of matrices. Iāve remembered going over them in high school. But that was about seven years ago. Back then we never went over how they were created, just given the matrix and told how to manipulate it. More interesting now a days. Moving onto my āfield tripā, it was nice to see the large scale end result of my challenge. Or rather what is part of it. When I was at the Mall there were a few things to mark the occasion. First was the projection show of the Apollo 11 rocket on the side of the Washington monument, or rather if I was there at night. During the day the Smithsonian had a festival on getting us from the moon to Mars, clearly the festival was partnered with NASA. Always fun to see what is and will be possible if we sit down and get to work. Shortly after my trip I received my first arduino kit. Over the last couple of days I was able to play around with it. Since itās only a starter kit. I, being a beginner with circuitry have been able to stumble through some simple circuits. Once I do more I wonāt be stumbling. When it comes to the coding and programming of the chip I donāt think it will be too hard. I have also done some research to see if I will be able to use the arduino line in the final rocket. What Iāve seen looks promising.
