How easy is file transfer/syncing on a Fiio M3K?

I'm thinking about getting the Fiio M3K and installing rockbox on it. I've heard that rockbox runs pretty well despite it not yet being a stable build.

With the stock firmware I've heard that in order to get the player to sync new songs (that have been added via USB) that you need to remove then reinsert the SD card. Do you still need to do this when using rockbox?

How easy is it to transfer music via USB when using rockbox, I simply want to drag/drop and have the player automatically sync.

Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks
