Do they exist?? I know they do, I've had GREAT primary care doctors in other cities, but I'm really struggling to find one in Roanoke. My current PCP (and my previous two were the same, honestly) does a pretty bad job of managing the fairly basic health problems my spouse and I have had. I've recently been diagnosed with a relatively rare neuromuscular disease and it's time I find someone better. I'm not looking for an expert by any means- that's what all my specialists are for- but ideally I'd really like to find someone who takes an interest in my health problems and is at least willing to familiarize themselves with my disease, who I can create a long term relationship with managing my health. If anyone has recommendations for a good, caring PCP who has actually taken interest in your health I'd really appreciate them. Willing to wait to get in- I know everyone is slammed.
