Recap: About a week or so ago my wife and I noticed some trees on our property that run along our creek had some metals tags and ribbons attached. We had received no notification from Roanoke City about anything regarding this and so my wife reached out to the city administration to see what was going on.
Follow up: We finally heard back today on what is going on. The city is planning to do some work to reinforce the embankment along the creek to reduce erosion from flooding. They want to pay us for easement access to our property and the tree tagging was part of this process. Before we agree, my wife and I plan to meet with a city representative to get more information on what they want to do on our property.
