Seattle to Yosemite and back suggestions?

Hello-
I would love some ideas for a road trip I have coming up at the end of the week from Seattle to Yosemite. Going to stay a week in Yosemite and probably a night each way.
I was thinking of making leg one of the trip to crater lake area and find a hotel with in an hour or so of there. That’s about as far as I have gotten in my planning so and idea or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
