Hi guys
I'm an Australian who is doing a 90 day road trip around the USA. I am doing a lot of driving - planning to enter each of the 48 states.
I will be solo most of the time and for that time was hoping to sleep in my rental car.
I can get a medium sized sedan (eg Dodge Avenger, Hyundai Elantra) for around $USD 3,500.
A small SUV (eg Ford Escape) would be around $4,400. Easier to sleep in but more expensive and worse fuel economy.
I'm 5'9" and would love to know if anyone has any experience sleeping in a sedan. I was hoping to remove the back seat temporarily and sleep diagonally through to the trunk but its really hard to know if its going to work in advance...
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
