Family trip: me, Mom, and Dad. This is likely to be the last big family trip as my parents are in their 80s.
Taking the Amtrak from Chicago to East Glacier Park and then getting a car. Overnights in Great Falls, West Yellowstone (x2), Jackson, Idaho Falls, Boise, Spokane, and East Glacier Park (x2). National parks along the way include Worlds Shortest River, Lewis & Clark Forest, Missouri River Headwaters (these are drive-troughs or stopovers, not spending much time), Yellowstone (2 days: 1 for north loop, 1 for south), Grand Teton (1 day), Craters of the Moon (drive-through), and Glacier (1 day).
Any other "must see" attractions along the way? Recommendations on places to stay or eat?
Thanks!
