Need Help Planning Western Roadtrip Wisconsin to Idaho

Hello r/roadtrip!

I'll be traveling to Idaho this September for a wedding on Labor day weekend. I'm looking forward to it as I've never been out west before. I'm in the Madison, WI area and I'll ultimately be traveling to a community just outside of Idaho Falls. I have 7 days of vacation to use plus I'll have off Labor Day paid. I was thinking about taking off out west on Wednesday August 2nd. I need to be in the Idaho Falls area by Saturday for the wedding on Sunday. I'd like to be back to Wisconsin by Saturday September 12.

I guess I'm looking for suggestions on when to leave etc. I know I can make it to Spearfish South Dakota in one day from the Madison area.

Spearfish to Idaho Falls looks to be about 10 hours. So that's easily two days of driving to get out there from Madison, WI. That would leave Friday and Saturday to explore and Sunday for the wedding. We'd like to explore after the wedding as well using the week of Labor Day meaning we'd probably need to travel Thursday and Friday after Labor day to make it to Madison on Saturday.

We'd like to see the following places:

Glacier National Park

Yellowstone National Park

Grand Teton National Park

Mesa Falls

Devils Tower

Mount Rushmore

Based on the amount of time we have would be better off leaving closer to Sunday and adding more time on the end of our trip? I don't want to be restricted to short day trips if we arrive in Idaho Falls on Friday since we'll have to be around on Sunday.

Second Idea: Leave Wisconsin on Thursday and travel both days with arrival to the area Saturday. Attend wedding Sunday and travel on Monday to our destinations....

Your suggestions and help are appreciated it. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of this as my previous road trips were never planned out. I just showed up in random cities and states. This one is requiring a bit more planning on my part.
