Part 1 done, and easy-ish 333 miles through backroads and routes. Next up, Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway…and most likely, sleeping in the car.

On winding backroads, I drive alone, Past fields and forests, memories shown. Abandoned diners with faded signs, Whispering tales of simpler times.
Classic stores with windows bare, Echoes of laughter linger in the air. Rust and weeds reclaim the land, Silent witnesses where dreams once spanned.
Each turn reveals a ghostly scene, Of bygone days and lives unseen. Driving backroads, stories unfold, Of America’s past, rich and bold.
