identification help
Post Body

Unfortunately I wasnt able to take a picture before it flew away but I spotted a roach outside my house today that I've never seen before. It was very small maybe 1 to 1.5 centimeters in length. It's abdomen and head were black and it's thorax was red with a yellow frame that went all the way around like a square. At first I thought it was a lightning beetle because the it was colored just like one. I live in central Texas if that helps the identification process though I suspect this was not a native roach.
