I stopped watching after Season 5 but just watched series finale...

I've done this before with other shows I abandoned cuz I'm curious to see where it ends. All I can say is i have no idea how it got here. I tried reading wikipedia's summaries but it was incomplete. Would someone mind giving me the TLDR. Specifically how they got to the fifties. I'm also curious about Angel Tabitha lol. I learned from wikipedia the first episode I didn't watch featured Archie being sacrificed which sounds WILD. Don't judge me too hard for being lazy lol. Thanks!
